Important Notice for Retirees

Updated October 26, 2025

If you are keeping your current retiree coverage, no action is required.

To maintain eligibility, please ensure your retiree insurance payments are current with HealthEquity — this is the main requirement for continued coverage.

You can verify your payment status or confirm that your automatic bank draft is processing each month by:

As long as your payments remain current, your coverage will automatically continue into 2026.

All retirees will receive a second postcard with information about the 2026 plan year.

If you plan to make changes or cancel coverage, that postcard will include instructions and a link to the electronic enrollment form, which must be completed online.

Please contact Tarrant County HR via email if any of the following apply to you:

  • You are turning 65 in November 2025, December 2025, or January 2026 and will be enrolling in Medicare
  • A covered dependent is turning 26 in January 2026 and will no longer be eligible for coverage
  • You currently cover a grandchild and need to recertify their eligibility

Note: As a reminder, spouse affidavits are no longer required. If you currently pay a spouse surcharge, that will end at the close of this year.

Rate sheets for 2026 are now available and posted above this notice.
